Donations impact a life right here in the Seattle area! Refugee families often have immediate needs like rent assistance, school supplies, bus passes or work uniforms that we use cash donations to meet. Furnishings and household items are tangible ways you can help us welcome refugee families and create “home” for them.

Money

Your financial donations are vital in helping us meet direct refugee needs and allowing us to expand our partnerships and services to refugees. World Relief’s Seattle office currently raises almost $200,000 per year from 250 donors. Each donation counts!

Furniture

Help tangibly welcome a refugee family! We furnish an average of two empty apartments each week. Donations of furniture create “home” for refugee families who've had to leave almost everything behind. Provide a warm welcome by donating your gently-used furniture.

Household Items

What about the pots and pans, lamps, and bathroom goods?  Help fill a refugee family's new home with the small household items they need upon arrival. This is a great project for a community group to take on together.

Clothing
Donating clothing for Goodwill scrip:

Organizing a donation drive of good-quality second-hand clothes and shoes is a great way to help World Relief provide needed clothing to refugees in a way that is fun and empowering. The items you gather may be donated to Seattle Goodwill on behalf of World Relief. In turn, Goodwill issues vouchers that refugees can use to shop for needed items at local Goodwill stores.
