Donations Needs: Furniture and Household Items
Twin, Full or Queen mattresses/box springs (good condition)
- Frames for twin, double, queen beds—if simple and easy to assemble
- Dressers/chests of drawers
- Kitchen/dining tables with chairs
- Bunk beds and cribs—If simple and with all bolts included
- Metro bus tickets
- Vehicles in good running condition for refugee families in need of transportation
- Bicycles
- Gift cards to stores such as Safeway, Fred Meyer, or Target
- TV’s—relatively new, working color sets only
- DVD players
- Microwaves—relatively new, working
- Vacuums
- Couches—no stains, tears or animal hair
- Coffee/End tables
- Lamps
- Armchairs
- Computers—newer models with an operating system and basic Software
Donations we are NOT able to accept:
- Food
- Sofa beds
- King size beds/mattresses
- Large appliances (fridges, stoves, etc.)
- Damaged, stained or unusable items
- Anything that needs to be repaired
- Mattresses that are stained, torn.
Your new or gently used items can make all the difference to a refugee family. We cannot accept any items that have missing parts or needed repairs. Our ability to pick-up donations is limited to our volunteer drivers’ schedules. Also, our storage is in Kent, so pick-ups beyond South King County may be difficult to arrange.
