Donations Needs: Furniture and Household Items

  • Twin, Full or Queen mattresses/box springs (good condition)
  • Frames for twin, double, queen beds—if simple and easy to assemble
  • Dressers/chests of drawers
  • Kitchen/dining tables with chairs
  • Bunk beds and cribs—If simple and with all bolts included
  • Metro bus tickets
  • Vehicles in good running condition for refugee families in need of transportation
  • Bicycles
  • Gift cards to stores such as Safeway, Fred Meyer, or Target
  • TV’s—relatively new, working color sets only
  • DVD players
  • Microwaves—relatively new, working
  • Vacuums
  • Couches—no stains, tears or animal hair
  • Coffee/End tables
  • Lamps
  • Armchairs
  • Computers—newer models with an operating system and basic Software

Donations we are NOT able to accept:

  • Food
  • Sofa beds
  • King size beds/mattresses
  • Large appliances (fridges, stoves, etc.)
  • Damaged, stained or unusable items
  • Anything that needs to be repaired
  • Mattresses that are stained, torn.

Your new or gently used items can make all the difference to a refugee family.  We cannot accept any items that have missing parts or needed repairs.  Our ability to pick-up donations is limited to our volunteer drivers’ schedules.  Also, our storage is in Kent, so pick-ups beyond South King County may be difficult to arrange.
